After a recent Personal Branding shoot with Louise Cox, I asked Louise the importance of personal branding photography. Here is
Personal branding has never been more important than it is today. With social media increasing in popularity, there are, to put it mildly, so many brands out there. It has never been easier to create a platform and gain a successful following, but there has never been more competition either. As a result, branding is more essential than ever.
The world is constantly evolving and keeping up with the trends is the only way to stay relevant; and having a quality personal brand is the best way to add value to a business.
Personal branding photography is for everyone.
Regardless of the business type or industry you are in. When you think about some of the biggest and most successful brands today, you also think about the people behind them. No one is exempt from the effects of branding, which is why you need to be ahead of the game, in control of your branding and how the world perceives it.
Having a personal brand showcasing you at your best, shows who you are and what you stand for. It removes the barrier that exists between you and your audience, so you can present yourself in a way they will want to interact with you.
Good personal branding helps attract more clients.
It encourages engagement and feeds credibility. Rather than just being a mystery behind a screen, it shows that you are a real person, and one of the best ways for your audience to get to know you is through photos.
They say a picture paints a thousand words and it’s so true when it comes in personal branding. Through professional images your personality can shine and you can tell your story. People like to connect with people, so invite them into your world using images to build the like, know and trust factor. Whether it’s a corporate headshot, fun shot of you doing your thing or you having some down time – people are more likely to engage with someone they feel like the know and can relate to.
In marketing, they always talk about the “noise.” So having a clear, concise personal brand with amazing photography is the best way to cut through all that noise to be seen and heard.
